Most golf ball manufacturers will produce the maximum allowed weight due to the heavier balls flying further with less air resistance.
Knowing the size and weight of the golf ball can help you in your game such as those players with a higher handicap can take advantage of the balls that weigh more and are the smallest in size go further through the air. While those flashy balls may make your game look more attractive the proper size and weight will make you have a better game.
